PLANNING APPLICATION - REPOWER OF BURGAR HILL




The planning application was submitted to the Orkney Islands Council in May 2026 and published and validated by the OIC in August 2026.  


The full application can be found and responded to on the OIC planning portal, and a selection of documents can be found below.  All the visual images supporting the application are on the OIC portal.

Chapter 4 EIA - The Proposed Development

This chapter provides a description of the Proposed Development, associated ancillary infrastructure and its

geographical context. It also outlines the anticipated construction, operation and decommissioning activities

connected with the Proposed Development and the Site.

NON-TECHNICAL SUMMARY

This Non-Technical Summary (NTS) provides an accessible overview of the proposed development and the findings of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR). It is intended to help readers understand the project, the environmental topics assessed, the potential effects identified, and the measures proposed to avoid, reduce or mitigate those effects, without the need to refer to the more detailed technical documents.
